Max MacKay, 62, of Ottawa, died on Monday, February 20, 2017 at his home with his son at his side.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa with Rev. Tim Underwood, Pastor of Illinois Valley Evangelical Free Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home on Tuesday.

Max was born on July 29, 1954 in Joplin, Missouri to Duncan and Barbara (McFarland) MacKay. He was a glassworker at Libbey-Owens Ford for over 30 years. Max was an honest hardworking man, devoted father, and devout servant of the Lord.

He is survived by his parents, 3 children Rachel Chapman, of Oglesby, Dale MacKay, of Grand Rapids, MI, and Jerry (Antoinette) MacKay, of Grand Rapids, MI, a brother Mark (Janet) MacKay, of Utica, a sister Rhonda (Rick) Moore, of Ottawa, and his dog Anwyn.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Max has been laid to rest in the Garden of the Last Supper.
