Lee R. Hall, 90, of Ottawa died on Wednesday, December 28, at the Illinois Veterans Home in LaSalle. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday Jan. 5, in the Zion Lutheran Church in Ottawa with the Rev. David Daniel, pastor, officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 4 -7 p.m. at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa, and at the church on Thursday, one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa where full military rites will be conducted.
Lee was born on March 27, 1926 in Benton, Illinois to Lee Roy and Alberta (Vickery) Hall. He married Margaret Stash on June 4, 1950 in Springfield, Illinois. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was employed at L.O.F. until his retirement and had previously worked for the Joliet Arsenal and King & Hamilton in Ottawa. Lee was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.
Lee is survived by one daughter, Becky Lee Hall, of Cortland, one son, David (Karen) Hall of Ottawa, three grandchildren, Kurt Blaiszik, of Littleton, CO, Christie Jones, of Ottawa, and Laura (Cody) Brown, of Belleville, IL, one great-grandchild, Margaret Lee Jones, one brother-in-law, John (Pauline) Stash, of Abilene, TX, a sister-in-law, Genevieve Hall, of Ottawa, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Margaret, on July 14, 2011, one daughter, Debra Blaiszik, four brothers, and four sisters.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Stash, Shawn McCambridge, Casey McCambridge, Brian Jones, Mark Strehl, and Randy Michelini.
Memorials may be made to the Bethesda Lutheran Communities, Cortland, Illinois, the Zion Lutheran Church in Ottawa, or the Illinois Veterans Home in LaSalle, Illinois.
Lee has been laid to rest in the Garden of Inspiration.
