B. Diane Ogden, 81, of Ottawa, Illinois passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Ottawa Pavilion.
Funeral Ceremony will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Chaplin Terry Ann Dumyahn officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, prior to the services Thursday at Ottawa Funeral Home. She will be entombed in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa.
Diane was born December 5, 1934 in Grand Ridge, Illinois to Virgil and Beatrice (Radle) Lotz. She married Lawrence Ogden February 22, 1953 in Grand Ridge at the Presbyterian Church. She worked for Truman’s Photography in Ottawa for many years. She loved to garden, go fishing in Minnesota; she enjoyed photography, and worked on beautiful needlework. She was an accomplished pianist and enjoyed classical music.
She is survived by her husband, Larry; one son, Charlie (Fran) Ogden; two grandchildren, Jason (Ali) Ogden and Doug (Jeann’e Awbrey) Ogden; three great grandchildren, Camryn Chapman, Jadyn Ogden, and Ainsley Ogden; three siblings, John (Barbara Sheldon) Lotz of Naples, FL; Roy (YazMarie) Lotz of Bronx, NY; and Paul (Peggy) Lotz of Miromar Lakes, FL.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one son, Roger Ogden.
Pallbearers will be Jason and Doug Ogden, John Levy, Roger Gingrich, Paul Hageline, and Tim Kelly.
Memorials may be directed to Ottawa Pavilion or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Diane is laid to rest in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Sanctuary of Love.
