Margaret P. Voga, age 95, of Ottawa, passed away Sunday morning, November 16, 2014 at Ottawa Pavilion.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Father Augustin Kassa celebrating. Entombment will follow in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening with Prayers at 3:45 p.m. at Gladfelter Funeral Home.
Margaret was born August 9, 1919 in Ottawa, the daughter of Herman and Mary (Argus) Hoffman. She married Glenn A. Voga June 5, 1941 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Ottawa. He preceded her in death November 3, 1994. Margaret is survived by her children, Glenda L. (James, deceased) Archer of Alpine, CA, Cheryl A. (Charles) Townsend, Edna M. (Lawrence) Manning, and Lori A. Voga, all of Ottawa; her grandchildren, Kimberly A. (Brian) Cochran, Kahla R. (Richard) Fortin, James T. (Jennifer) Archer III, Tamara A. McConkey, Troy C. (Kelly) Townsend, Danielle M. (John) Allen, Timothy D. Blue, Glenn D. (Cara) Manning, and Chelsi R. Voga; twenty great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and her sister in-law, Betty Hoffman of Le Sueur, MN. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Herman, Joseph, William, and Leon and four sisters, Cecilia Wright, Anna Holloway, Rita Garland, and Mary Bennington.
Margaret was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She was a retired waitress, having worked at Hank’s of Naplate, New Chiam, and the Town Crier restaurants. In her leisure, Margaret enjoyed working crossword puzzles, gardening, traveling, and baking. Her most treasured times were those spent with her family, who were of the utmost importance to her.
Margaret is laid to rest in Sanctuary of Faith.
