Linda Kay (Thompson) Grey, 69, of Earlville, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. After an 11 year battle with metastatic breast cancer.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa, with Rev. Duane Kaufman, officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at the funeral home. Linda requests that attendees wear animal print to the services.
Linda was born on March 1, 1955 in Ottawa to Arden Dean and Joan Marie (Metzler) Thompson. She worked as a Registered Nurse for 31 years. Linda married Jonathan Grey on December 28, 1984 in Earlville. She enjoyed gardening, bowling and cherished bonfires and camping with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Jonathan Grey, of Earlville; three children, Michelle (Thomas) Hallam, of Ottawa, Connie (Richard) Falcon, of Mendota, Joseph (Barbara) Grey, of Utica; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Greg (Betsy Portzen) Thompson; and a sister, Sherri Farley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Steven Thompson.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Hallam, Joseph Grey, Chris Farley, Cody Falcon, Greg Thompson, and Richard “Buddy” Falcon.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
Linda was laid to rest in the Garden of Psalms at Oakwood Memorial Park.
